Care at Mackenney
The Mackenney Centre is a purpose-built fully equipped Day Centre providing social and learning opportunities, with a hot meal and wide variety of activities. There is a large dining room, a quiet lounge, an exercise area, a craft room, a clinical room, a fully equipped bathroom, toilet facilites, a laundry, and a client computer room. There is an enclosed terraced garden with suitable garden furniture, plants and a conservatory.
Bathing
We have specialist equipment and a team of qualified staff to assist clients that require a bath at the Centre during their visit. We are also able to offer basic laundry service.
Foot Care
Our fully trained foot-care assistant can cut your toenails and carry out basic foot-care on your tender feet with a foot massage included. If we are unable to help you with your feet we can refer you to someone who can.
Hairdressing
We are able to offer the services of fully trained hairdressers five days a week who will keep you looking your best.
We work in partnership with the Falls Prevention Team and once a month the team holds a falls clinic at the centre to meet with any clients who may need advice.
Once a month Hi/Kent Hearing visit to assess your hearing and check your hearing aid. We also offer replacement batteries for those who need it.
