Age Concern Gillingham is an independent charity and was founded in 1975. The core activity is a 60-place Day Centre with additional support services offered. Our services are open to anyone over the age of 60 who lives in the old borough of Gillingham who meets the eligibility criteria. For all services clients can be referred by Social Services Care Management Team, GP Surgery and District Nurses, family and self. All clients are assessed in their own home prior to attending the Centre to ensure that their needs can be met by the staff, any prospective client is welcome to look around before making a decision.
Mackenney Centre
The Mackenney Centre is a purpose built, fully equipped Day Centre providing social and learning opportunities, with a hot meal and a wide range of activities.
